Is A Tactical Vest a Bulletproof Vest?
Most tactical vests are designed to be worn over other clothing, and some of them even include pockets. These vests are not only lightweight, but they also often come equipped with various pockets and attachments that will assist you in carrying your kit on missions and other outdoor adventures. In a crisis, those who wear tactical vests quickly access the essential equipment they carry. These vests can be modified to include anything from magazines and flashlights to first aid kits and other necessities. The amount of gear carried in a tactical vest is directly proportional to its overall dimensions.
A bulletproof vest consists of layers of woven or laminated fibers that collaborate to slow, disperse, and eventually stop bullets from moving through the barrier. They are efficient against bullets traveling at modest velocities, such as those fired from handguns and assault rifles. Bulletproof vests will likely have a hybrid construction, consisting of both flexible cushioning and stiff armor plates.
Tactical vests are not the same as bulletproof vests. Similarly to traditional Bullet Proof Vests, Tactical Vests include Level IIIA protection and detachable rigid armor plates that may be stowed away in the vest’s elastic Plate Carrier plate pockets. Tactical Vests can also be available in smaller sizes. Because of their robust construction, tactical vests can accommodate greater weight than bulletproof vests, which makes it much easier to connect accessories like additional magazines, radios, and hydration bladders.
The typical weight of a tactical vest is significantly lower than that of a bulletproof vest. Tactical vests consist of lightweight ballistic nylon fabric as opposed to more robust materials like Kevlar or other heavy-duty materials that make up a bulletproof vest which is designed to stop bullets from high-powered firearms. If you sacrifice some of your protection for increased mobility, you will find that wearing your tactical vest for extended periods is far more bearable than a bulletproof vest.
